Kenduskeag Recital Series

|
The Kenduskeag Piano Recital Series, held in the fall of the year, features works from the classical repertoire. Now in its sixth season and held in the intimate, 100-seat Kominsky Auditorium, the series showcases performers from around the world. Endowed by a generous gift from the late John E. Kilgore, Jr., an entrepreneur and former trustee of Husson, the piano recitals have come to represent the best in chamber music, featuring a wide range of composers from the classics to more modern composers such as Janacek, Scriabin and Ligeti. Performed on a Steinway Concert B grand piano, the series has been reviewed as "chamber music as it was intended to be, intimate, beautifully played and memorable."
This year's schedule included performers from Italy, Greece, Russia and the United States. The series has been embraced by the greater Bangor community. Husson students may attend the concert series for free and it is a delightful way toward fulfilling the fine arts requirement of their degree.
