This BS/MS program awards a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MS). It is open to high school graduates, college transfer students, and those changing majors within Husson University. Upon acceptance to Husson University, first-year students can directly enroll in the BS Psychology - MS Occupational Therapy track.
During the first two years, students focus on foundational Humanities and Sciences, which are crucial for succeeding in advanced occupational therapy courses. To progress to the third year, known as the professional phase, students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 by the end of the second year and achieve at least a C+ in specific prerequisite courses. These academic standards are also required for continued enrollment in the School of Occupational Therapy. Detailed curriculum and course descriptions are available via the "Curriculum" link, and information for the MS-only program can be found on the Occupational Therapy (MS in OT) webpage. Transfer students must have a 3.0 overall GPA before entering the professional phase.
The BS in Psychology is conferred after four years of study, while the MS in Occupational Therapy is awarded after the fifth year, which includes supervised clinical fieldwork.
