WHY HUSSON

Husson's School of Business and Management proudly offers an in-depth and comprehensive Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree program. Or if you're looking to jumpstart your career, you can take on the dual Bachelor of Science / Master of Business Administration program, earning both your undergraduate and graduate degrees in as little as five years' time.

Each degree path offers 4-5 year degree programs in these key areas of business administration:

  • General - In this concentration, you will take courses to prepare for a career working as a stockbroker, insurance agent, consultant, or in banking, real estate or in many other business areas. This concentration provides a strong overview of essential business principles and skills and is an ideal choice if you know you want to build an adaptable business career.
  • Small Business Entrepreneurship - If you'd like to own your own business or would like to work in a small business environment, you will benefit from the specialty classes offered in this concentration. You'll learn about the essential challenges and opportunities of running a small business, and the skills and knowledge you develop will help ensure your business can succeed.
  • Management - This concentration offers a comprehensive overview of the various business management areas, teaching you what it takes to lead and excel. With the broad educational background provided by this concentration, you will be prepared to stand out in a variety of organizations and have the edge needed to push those organizations to run more efficiently and effectively.
  • Financial Management - In this concentration, you will delve more deeply into topics related to economics and finances, preparing you to work in various capacities in banks, real estate, or as a stockbroker, insurance agent, financial officer and more.

CAREER OUTLOOK

Business is booming just about everywhere, and as such, there is always a wide range of jobs available to talented and ambitious college graduates with business administration degrees. Starting salaries for business school graduates are often between $35,000 and $55,000 (or more), with vast potential for career growth and higher pay. Recent Husson School of Business and Management graduates have gone on to careers as marketing managers, bank vice presidents, stock brokers, top hospital administrators, financial analysts, advertising executives, international trade specialists, hotel administrators, professional sports franchise managers, retail and manufacturing business owners and more.

THE CURRICULUM

Your studies in the business program will focus on key knowledge of business and business-related topics, including economics, finance, marketing and more. You'll also take a wide range of general education courses to round out your education and help you develop skills in other key areas such as communication and critical thinking.
