Technical Exploration Center

The Technical Exploration Center (TEC) is an exciting and innovative program that lends equipment, and provides evaluations, resource materials, technical assistance and Assistive Technology related training. A collaboration of Husson and UCP of Maine, TEC serves an important role in the lives of people as they adjust to new assistive technologies.

Husson students are able to have hands-on learning experiences at TEC through a variety of programs including fieldwork placements, work study opportunities and internships. These learning opportunities enable students to further develop the skills they've learned in the classroom by putting them into practice in an actual working environment. TEC provides learning for allied health end education students who can work with our unique inventory and the clients who use the equipment. Business and NESCom students also obtain experience in developing, marketing and fundraising from a nonprofit organization.
