Message from the Dean
Welcome to the new School of Pharmacy at Husson University. This is truly an exciting time on campus as we embark on building a strong program to help educate pharmacists in Maine and beyond to be able to provide much needed pharmaceutical care to the communities they will be serving. Starting a new school is a tremendous endeavor and will take many years of committed effort to eventually see the fruits of the labor within the first graduating class.
The commitment at Husson University is already very strong, and is growing stronger as key personnel are being hired. A remarkable administrative team has been brought together with many years of experience in academia and practice. Additional faculty members are currently being recruited to compliment the team and together we will be working to create an educational experience that prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare.
There are many important steps that have to be taken as we proceed in building the program. Look for updates to our progress which will be posted periodically on our website. If you would like information about the program, the profession, or our status, please do not hesitate to contact me, or any one of our current faculty or staff members.
I look forward to the next few years as the program grows and evolves. The need for pharmacists in the state and nationally continues to increase. We plan on building a program that will help meet this need, and much more. Our graduates will be at the forefront of providing care to help meet the future drug-related needs of their patients.
