Occupational Therapy/Health Sciences or Psychology (OTD + BS)

Husson University offers two distinct pathways to earning your Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD): a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. This way, you can choose the curriculum that best suits your career goals and interests while still gaining the foundational skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in occupational therapy. Each pathway also allows you to earn your OTD in just six years instead of the typical seven-year path.

BS in Health Sciences/OTD Pathway

The BS in Health Sciences pathway to earning an OTD provides you with a broad understanding how the human body functions and develops, which is essential to a successful career in occupational therapy. Your curriculum will include courses in biology, psychology, anatomy and physiology, and more. This foundational knowledge, combined with an array of experiential learning opportunities, will set you up for a successfull transition into OTD coursework and learning how to care for patients.
