The Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology and Conservation features a curriculum that establishes a strong foundation in biology, ecology, and environmental science. Through academic coursework and immersive hands-on learning experiences, students navigate the dynamic field of wildlife management.
Putting theory into practice through real-world experience
Students surveyed and assessed the 100 acres of forested wildlife habitat on campus. As part of this effort, they deployed 14 game cameras for several weeks to detect campus wildlife. The cameras picked up several groups of wild turkeys and deer, among other forest residents.
Projects like this one build the field research skills employers and graduate programs ask about: survey design, camera trapping, species identification, and data collection.
What You Can Do With a Wildlife Biology Degree
Most wildlife biology majors end up in one of a few directions, and the coursework and field hours here support all of them:
