An experienced athletic administrator, Parsons brings key skills to Husson including those related to strategic planning, institutional leadership, budget oversight and student-athlete success. He is the current chair of the North Atlantic Conference Administrative Executive Committee and the chair of the North Atlantic Conference Athletic Directors Committee.

“We are thrilled to have an accomplished professional of Chris Parsons’ caliber joining Husson as our new athletic director. He is a confident leader who has experience using data-driven decision making — something we value greatly at our University,” said President Lynne Coy-Ogan.

Parsons, who most recently served as Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at Thomas College, graduated from Thomas College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

“I am thankful to President Coy-Ogan and Vice President Chris Grotton for their support through this hiring process. This is a very exciting opportunity for me. I’ve thought highly of Husson University and Husson Athletics for a long time. I am looking forward to working with the excellent coaches and staff as we move forward to continued success,” said Parsons.

Parsons will begin in late August.

“Our athletics staff and coaches are excited about Chris Parsons becoming our next athletic director and eager to work with him as we continue to improve and refine Husson Athletics. He’s a thoughtful leader with the critical skills and experience that Husson needs,” said Vice President for Student Experience Chris Grotton, who has served as interim athletic director since early June.
