Launch your career in hospitality, tourism and event experience
Experience management is a dynamic and fast-paced industry that focuses on providing positive, lasting memories for millions of travelors and customers around the world. Through the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Experience Management program at Husson University, you'll gain the real-world skills and experience needed to thrive in this exciting field.
WHY HUSSON
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Experience Management program is designed to prepare the next generation of managers, leaders and entrepreneurs in the hospitality, tourism and event industry. Two-thirds of your classes will be on management topics as viewed through the lens of hospitality. You’ll build a foundation in the core business areas as you learn to apply methods and tools to organizational decision-making.
Unlike some other business schools, Husson doesn't limit learning to the classroom. You'll utilize the latest in cutting-edge technology as you receive training in virtual reality environments, and you'll learn about how technology is impacting the hospitality industry. Plus, you’ll gain hands-on experience through an internship, putting you on the first rung of your career ladder before you graduate.
Even better, Husson offers multiple options for getting your career started quickly. You can take on our accelerated 3-year bachelor's degree program to get your undergraduate degree faster or choose to earn your MBA in conjunction with your B.S. degree in just 5 years. An MBA may increase your starting salary and help you stand out for promotions during your career.
CAREER OUTLOOK
When you think of careers in experience management, you probably think of careers in hotels, restaurants and cruises. However, the tourism and hospitality industry is much larger than that. It includes categories such as health and wellness, weddings, meetings, and events, sports, aviation, destination marketing organizations, and more. Plus, each one of these areas needs professionals in finance, marketing and sales, security and banking. It’s no wonder, then, that professionals in hospitality and tourism management are in high demand.
THE CURRICULUM
As you study business administration and experience management, you will take an array of courses that train you on the expectations and best practices of professionals and in the industry. Two-thirds of your courses will be in management, with a strong hospitality and tourism focus. Courses in communication, general business, sales and marketing are integrated into your curriculum to ensure you build a foundation not just for your first position, but for the life of your career.
