Although his Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Master's degree from the University of Connecticut are in English Literature, Kevin serves as Husson's Executive Director of Information Resources and Library Services. And while he spends much of his time working with servers, mice and cabling, instead of Hemingway, Coleridge and Emerson, he visits them when he can. Kevin is also a Registered Maine Guide, and has had the pleasure of teaching Fly Fishing at the University, as well as a number of English and Computer Information Systems courses over the last ten years.

Throughout history, men and women have made enormous sacrifices and have risked even death for the chance to access the kinds of information that might lead to wisdom. The "Information Revolution" has made more of this raw information available to more people than ever before, but often, that which exists in abundance is not held in great value. It is the role of today's educator -- not just to provide information -- but to help students and ultimately society develop meaning and value for this information, to define and create a path to wisdom.

Beth received her BSN from Northeastern University, Masters Degrees in Adult Education and Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, and a PhD in Nursing and Disabilities Studies from the University of Maine. A nurse for over 30 years, she has worked in psychiatric nursing, ICU, med-surg, and inservice education and has taught pediatric and psychiatric nursing at both the ADN and BSN levels. Beth's areas of research and academic interest include quality of life and mental illness, nursing oral history, men in nursing, self-caring, and substance abuse in nurses. She works part time on the Child and Adolescent Unit at the Acadia Hospital.

I enjoy seeing students grow as individuals and as professionals. I maintain an open-door policy and welcome students stopping by to share thoughts, puzzles, and perspective. I am married to a librarian, and have two adult daughters. My personal interests include quilting, writing, scrapbooking, reading, and swimming.

Robert A. Clark is a Maine native from Albion and graduated from Lawrence High School in Fairfield. He earned a B.A. in Spanish, a B.S. in Business Administration, and an M.B.A. from the University of Maine. He was awarded the Ph.D. in Finance from Purdue University and also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation.

Prior to the Husson presidency, Clark served as the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Dean of the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville in Indiana. He also was the founding executive director of the University's Institute for Global Enterprise in Indiana. He has held academic appointments as a faculty member in Finance and Global Business at Butler University, the University of Tampa, and the University of Vermont.

In addition, he has experience as a United States Army Administrative Officer, Consultant, Pension Administrator and Controller. Clark has served as a Fulbright Scholar at the Norwegian School of Management and as a guest faculty member at the Business and Economics University in Vienna. He has published articles on securities market regulation and emerging markets in a number of refereed academic journals, authored major grants from the Lilly Foundation, U.S. Department of Education, and the Kemper Foundation, and currently serves on the Bloomberg Businessweek's Academic Advisory Panel.

President Clark is married to the former Patricia McGarry, a graduate of Bangor High School and the University of Maine, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master in Music. The Clarks are the parents of two children, Sarah, a high school mathematics teacher in Hillsborough County, Florida, and Elizabeth, a nursing student at Husson University.
