Biography

As the Director of Accessibility Services at Husson, Elizabeth (Liz) Atkinson works in the Center for Student Success with students and faculty to promote equal access across campus for individuals with disabilities, barriers to learning, and students who require accommodations during their educational journey. Liz earned her M.Ed. from Penn State’s Rehabilitation Counseling program and BA in Psychology and Women’s Studies from William Smith College in Geneva, NY. Liz prefers Maine for its natural beauty and endless opportunities for adventure. Liz’s professional interests include neurodiversity, assistive technology, and universal design for learning.
