Scholarships

Merit Scholarships

The Admissions Office is pleased to announce the following merit scholarships available for undergraduate students entering in the Fall of 2023. There are no additional scholarship forms required and recipients will be determined at the time of acceptance. Admissions applications must be completed by January 1, 2023 in order to be considered. Recipients must be enrolled full-time day students and maintain continuous enrollment to keep the scholarship. Applicants receive highest-level scholarship only. Husson University is NCAA Division III and athletic awards are not available.

Trustees' Scholars Award
$26,000 ($6,500 annually for up to 4 years)

President's Leadership Scholarship 
$24,000 ($6,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Provost's Leadership Scholarship 
$22,000 ($5,500 annually for up to 4 years)

Dean's Leadership Scholarship
$20,000 ($5,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Admission Director's Scholarship
$10,000 ($2,500 annually for up to 4 years)

Scholarships with an Admissions Application Deadline of April 1, 2023 or Open-Ended (applications must be complete to be considered):

College of Business Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to a program within the College of Business. 

New England School of Communications Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to a program within the New England School of Communications. 

Psychology Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to the Psychology program.

School of Legal Studies Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to a program within the School of Legal Studies.

School of Technology Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to a program within the School of Technology and Innovation.

School of Education Scholarship 
$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students who are accepted to a program within the School of Education. 

Legacy Scholarship 
$4,000 ($1,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Student must have had a parent or step-parent, grandparent, or great grandparent who graduated from Husson to receive this scholarship. 

Transfer Scholarship 
$3,000 ($1,500/per semester) 
$2,000 ($1,000/per semester) 
$1,000 ($500/per semester) 

Qualifying incoming transfer students will receive one of the above listed scholarships, dependent upon their earned GPA. Students must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours. This scholarship is applicable to day-division enrollment in undergraduate programs of study and is stackable with the Maine Community College and PTK Scholarships. 


Maine Community College Award
$2,000

Your Associate's Degree from a Maine Community College now guarantees you $2,000 per year. To qualify, students must matriculate immediately following completion of their two-year college degree. 


Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship 
$1,500

Husson is proud to offer an additional $1,500 to students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa at their community college and carry a 3.0 GPA or higher from all institutions previously attended. To be eligible, students must matriculate immediately following completion of their two-year college degree. 


President's Global Scholarship 
$4,000 - $40,000

International Scholarship with a minimum of $1,000-$10,000 per year, based on merit. The student must provide proof of financial responsibility and be eligible for an F-1 student visa for consideration. 

Pine Tree Scholarship
$16,000 ($4,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students from states other than Maine. Students must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate day program in order to be eligible. Completed admissions applications must be received no later than April 1, 2023.

Husson Beacon Scholarship
$6,000 ($1,500 annually for up to 4 years)

Awarded to incoming Fall 2023 students from the state of Maine. Students must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate day program in order to be eligible. Completed admissions applications must be received no later than April 1, 2023.


For Continuing Students


The Scholar Incentive Award
Awarded based on academic performance. Full time undergraduate students that have completed 30 credits at Husson will be considered for this academic scholarship. Those that have attained a semester grade point average of 3.4 or better will receive a $300 scholarship and those who have attained a 3.6 or better will receive a $400 scholarship to be applied the following semester. The student must be enrolled as a full time student (12 or more credits) in the semester the scholarship is to be applied. GPA's will be reviewed and awards will be received during the Fall & Spring semesters only. Payment of this award is applied toward tuition in the subsequent regular semester of enrollment.

Need-based Scholarships

U&Husson Scholarship
Awarded based on calculated financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.


Husson Eagle Scholarship
Awarded based on calculated financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.


On-campus Residential Scholarship
Awarded to students living in on-campus housing and who have financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.
