Main Challenges

Each year, we have some generous alumni step forward to provide funds to help encourage fellow Eagles to rise to the challenge. Each gift counts as a "vote" to the area within Husson that the donor is most excited about.  With a goal of gifts from 750 donors, every dollar and every donor counts in unlocking additional funds.
The team that hits one of the following areas will win an additional $1,000:

  • Has at least 5 donors and the highest percentage of alumni donors*
  • Has at least 5 donors and the highest percentage of young alumni donors**
  • Receives the largest individual gift
  • Has the highest number of donors***
  • Has the highest number of first-time donors****
  • Has at least 5 donors and the highest number of faculty/staff donors
  • Has at least 5 donors and the highest number of student donors
Plus, be sure to keep checking back here, or sign up to receive emails or text messages as challenges and funds will be released throughout the day.

More Ways to Make an Impact

Challenge Fine Print

The highest percentage of alumni giving is determined by the total number of alumni donors giving for a particular area in respect to the total number of gifts for said area.

The highest percentage of young alumni giving is determined by the total number of young alumni donors giving for a particular area in respect to the total number of gifts for said area. Young alumni are defined as individuals who have graduated within the past ten years.

A donor will be counted only once in each giving area. If a donor makes multiple gifts to the same area, they will be counted as one donor.

First-time donors are defined as donors who are making their first-ever gift to Husson, not their first time participating in Giving Day.

  • All gifts received, either prior to or on Giving Day (April 6th), will be counted towards the "Main Challenges," the donor count challenges (500, 725 and 750), the social media challenge and senior class giving challenge.
  • We will be reporting on leaders of the Main Challenges.from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EDT.
  • Only gifts received on Giving Day will be considered for the hourly challenges.
  • For the challenges, an area can win more than one match (i.e. highest number of donors and largest individual gift, etc.)
