Office of Veterans Services
It is our mission to provide Husson University veterans with easy access to programs and educational benefits that will aid them in their life and educational goal processes, while making a positive impact on our community.
Husson University places a strong value on our veterans, and we make every effort to accommodate your specific needs through the admissions process. We are a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program and have agreed to the Principles of Excellence executive order.
Admissions criteria for veterans include graduation from an approved senior high school or a high school equivalency certificate recognized by the applicant's State Department of Education. Husson also accepts a General Educational Development Certificate administered under the United States Armed Forces Institute and subsequently recognized by the applicant's State Department of Education. Veterans Administration paperwork for new students requires four to six weeks for processing.
Recruitment of Service Members
Husson University is committed to providing educational opportunities to members of the armed forces. Our standard operating procedure for admissions includes a communication plan for all prospects, inquiries, and applicants. Prospective students that fall into the category of service member will only be placed into the communication flow at the inquiry stage as they have given permission to be contacted by admissions on a regular cadence. Admission staff members must refrain from contacting any known service member at the prospect stage more than three times. If questions arise, please contact the Director of Admissions for any needed clarification.
