About the School of Pharmacy

Husson University's School of Pharmacy focuses on integrative pharmacy education that trains students for all practice settings. Faculty work to educate pharmacy professionals to deliver high-quality, interprofessional and patient-centered pharmaceutical care in order to a make a positive difference in the health of the communities students go on to serve.

As a regional leader in integrative pharmacy education, Husson University’s pre-pharmacy program delivers a solid foundation for transition into the professional phase of study in the School of Pharmacy. Every course is geared toward equipping students with the study skills and knowledge they need to succeed, no matter their career goals. Pre-pharmacy students who meet the minimum GPA and PCAT requirements after two years are offered a guaranteed interview for our competitive Doctor of Pharmacy program. The pre-pharmacy curriculum is also designed to help students meet most of the application requirements for admission into a wide range of other programs, including medical school, osteopathy, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, and more.

PharmD - 4 Year

The Doctor of Pharmacy program at Husson University is a four-year, 148-credit hour program that prepares students to become leaders in the healthcare industry through rigorous academic coursework and hands-on practical experience. With one of the best student to faculty ratios in the nation, students receive individualized attention from dedicated faculty from the very beginning. The program offers a wide range of local experiential placements, access to modern and dedicated labs, and a robust advisor program. Students also have the opportunity to pursue a dual degree program to earn a Master of Science in Pharmacology or a Master of Business Administration in addition to the PharmD.

Husson provides a superior education at an affordable price. Pharmacy students are also eligible for up to $6,500 in scholarships, and pre-pharmacy students may be eligible for even more.

Students participate in six six-week rotations in a wide range of professional settings -- from retail, to ambulatory, to hospital -- ensuring you have the well-rounded and hands-on experience you need no matter where your pharmacy career takes you.
