Husson University’s Gracie Theatre Sponsors Live Owl Program for Chance to Win Tickets to Potted Potter show

Date of Release: December 21, 2012

The Gracie Theatre at Husson University is sponsoring a live owl program on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the children’s section of the Bangor Public Library. During the presentation, attendees will have a chance to win one of three pairs of tickets to Potted Potter, The Unauthorized Harry Experience coming to the Gracie Theatre on Sunday, January 27, 2013.

Presented by Birdsacre Sanctuary, the program “The Owls of Birdsacre” will feature a Great Horned Owl, Barred owl, and a Saw-whet owl. The owls are in residence at Birdsacre because they have been injured and cannot be released into the wild. Attendees will have an opportunity to experience the personalities and habits of the owls and what we can do to help preserve them in the wild.

Managing Director of the Gracie Theatre, Jeri Misler, believes this will be a fun way for people to learn more about owls and the upcoming Potter spoof. “In the Potter Series, the wizarding world receives mail by owl,” explains Misler. “Giving away tickets by owl is a unique way to incorporate the book series, the owls and the Potted Potter show we’re bringing to the Gracie.”

Potter Potter is a fun-filled spoof on the Harry Potter series and is currently touring the US, having originated in London’s West End. BBC comic duo Dan and Jeff perform the show and boast a live Quiddich match in the audience as they tackle all seven books of the Harry Potter Series in 70 hilarious minutes.

Information about the show and the owl program can be found at or by calling the Gracie box office at 941-7888.
