Husson University’s 17th Annual Legal Studies Career Fair Planned
Published on: October 15, 2026
The 17th Annual Legal Studies Career Fair will be held at Husson University on Wednesday, Oct. 21, featuring about 60 law enforcement, legal and related organizations seeking future employees.
The fair begins at 10am and continues through 2pm. Among the organizations expected to attend are the Maine State Police, Maine State Police Crime Lab, Drug Enforcement Administration, Verrill Dana LLP, Maine School of Law and U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services.
The event is intended to provide students with networking opportunities that will aid them in their future careers. Students in the School of Legal Studies are recommended to attend each year of their degree program to forge and maintain relationships with these organizations.
“We hope to keep building those bonds between the students and the organizations so that when it’s time to hand out resumes, they already have built that foundation with the organizations,” said Lorelai Beck, Co-director of the Legal Studies Ambassador Program, event organizer and Criminal Justice student at Husson University.
Students attending for the first time should speak to as many organizations as possible and ask questions. Professional dress is also encouraged.
It’s also a great opportunity for alumni to revisit their alma mater and talk to current students about their work, and how their Husson education prepared them for their career. Husson alumni are expected to make up more than 30% of those representing organizations at the career fair.
The career fair will be held in Newman Gymnasium. The event is also open to the public.
