SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic Returns for Fall 2026

Husson University’s SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic will reopen for the Fall 2026 semester on Sept. 16-17.

The pro bono clinic, launched in 2014, provides free physical therapy to uninsured and underinsured patients in the Bangor area. Since its inception, the clinic has provided over $500,000 of physical therapy services at no cost to their patients. Physical therapy students run the clinic under the supervision of their Husson professors, gaining real-world, hands-on experience in a professional PT environment while also giving back to the community. 

The clinic's mobile PT boxes will also return this semester. Mobile PT boxes were introduced in the spring of 2026 with the help of the Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation. The boxes allow students to conduct physical therapy screenings in other areas of the community and expand the clinic’s outreach.

“We are so pleased to continue bridging the gap for uninsured and underinsured patients in the greater Bangor community,” said Kimberly Steinbarger, assistant professor in Husson’s School of Physical Therapy and director of the SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic. “Our patients are able to receive individualized holistic treatment, while our students prepare for the rigors of the workplace.”
