Husson University Announces Class of 2026 Valedictorians and Salutatorians

Husson University has nine valedictorians this year and two salutatorians, all of whom have demonstrated academic excellence during their educational careers. 

The 2026 valedictorians have all achieved 4.0 grade point averages and represent a variety of Husson’s academic majors from financial planning to legal studies to nursing. Husson’s salutatorians have a 3.992 grade point average.

Valedictorians:

  • Breanne Lyssa Barton (Houlton) — BS Nursing
  • Ruth Marie Damashek (Chantilly, VA) — BS Psychology, BS Biology & Certificate - Criminal Justice
  • Emmalyne Morgan Godin (Houlton) — BS Criminal Justice, MS Criminal Justice Administration
  • Kyra Beth Levasseur (Essex, MA) — BS Secondary Education - English
  • Laura Jean Martel (Westport, MA) — BS Healthcare Administration & Public Health
  • Camryn Erin Neal (Hampden) — BS Financial Planning, Master of Business Administration, & Certificate - Accounting
  • JoHannah Marie Philbrook (Winterport) — BS Forensic Science & Certificate - Criminal Justice
  • Kyara Alexis Rutledge (North Concord, VT) — BS Criminal Justice - National/Corporate Security, MS Criminal Justice Administration, Graduate Certificate - Leadership, & Certificate - Forensics

They are a remarkable group,” said Husson President Lynne Coy-Ogan. “These exceptional students have taken the many opportunities Husson offers and used them to tailor their Husson experience so they are career-ready. On behalf of the University, we are incredibly proud of them.”

Husson University will hold its 127th Commencement Ceremony on May 9, 2026, at 10:30am at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
