SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic Expands Offerings for Spring 2026
Published on: February 3, 2026
Husson University’s SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic is expanding its offerings during the Spring 2026 semester with a new mobile clinic that will allow physical therapy students to take their work on the road.
Launched in 2014, the clinic is run by Husson physical therapy students under the supervision of professors and provides free physical therapy care to uninsured and underinsured patients.
The clinic is expanding this semester to also offer screenings at off-site locations using Mobile PT Boxes that the program created with the help of a Stephen and Tabitha King Foundation Grant. The boxes will allow students to conduct PT screenings at locations such as assisted living facilities and community centers, helping more people in the community.
“We are so pleased to expand the offerings of SOARing Eagles Healthcare Clinic as we enter our 12th year. The services our students provide help bridge the gap for those who are uninsured and underinsured,” said Dr. Kimberly Steinbarger, an assistant professor in Husson’s School of Physical Therapy and the director of the Soaring Eagles Healthcare Clinic. “For our students, this is an incredible opportunity as well to provide holistic, individualized treatment and experience the rigors of a healthcare workplace.”
SOARing Eagles will be open on Monday and Wednesday afternoons for the Spring 2026 semester, by appointment only. For a physical therapy appointment or to learn more, call 207-941-7761 or email steinbargerk@husson.edu.
