Husson Will Kick Off Fall 2025 Distinguished Business Speaker Series on Wednesday, Sept. 17

Husson University will kick off the Fall 2025 Distinguished Business Speaker Series on Wednesday, Sept. 17 with former marketing executive Steve Spetnagel. 

Spetnagel, who has more than two decades of experience in marketing including 11 years with The Mead Corporation and 12 years at The Coca-Cola Company, both Fortune 500 companies. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Spetnagel graduated from Duke University in 1981 and earned an MBA (1985) from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also the grandson of G. Peirce Webber, for whom Husson’s campus center and pool are named. He is also an entrepreneurial investor with interests in start-up ventures including a bagel restaurant/cafe, a hydration beverage additive, a faith-based movie and a professional sports venue.

The second speaker in the Fall 2025 series will be New York Times bestselling author Tess Gerritsen, who is best known for her suspense and medical thriller novels. Gerritsen’s first medical thriller, Harvest, was released in hardcover in 1996, and it marked her debut on the New York Times bestseller list. Her novels have hit bestseller lists ever since.  Among her titles are Gravity, The Surgeon, Vanish, The Bone Garden, and The Spy Coast. Her books have been translated into 40 languages, and more than 40 million copies have been sold around the world. Her series of novels featuring homicide detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles inspired the hit TNT television series "Rizzoli & Isles," starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. She is also a filmmaker.
