Husson University will welcome students back to campus this weekend as part of its annual Welcome Weekend festivities.

The events begin on Saturday, Aug. 30 when first-year students move into residence halls. In addition to getting settled in, students will meet with residential life staff, attend first-year class meetings and dine with their designated Welcome Weekend squad. There are also fun activities planned for the weekend to help acclimate new students to campus.

Husson University’s incoming class includes about 900 first-year students from Maine and around the world, including more than 500 on campus.

Husson will also hold Convocation on Saturday for first-year students and their families. This important event marks the start of the academic year and formally welcomes students to campus.

Classes begin at Husson University on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
