Marketing Communications

Marketing Communications

To build a successful career in marketing, you’ll need a strong foundation in both marketing principles and those soft skills that employers want today: communication, leadership, teamwork, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution. Through this Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communications program, you’ll build that foundation through a carefully planned curriculum, hands-on learning, and plenty of opportunities to hone your skills.

You’ll study social media marketing, digital marketing, design, marketing research, public relations, advertising and more. You’ll learn the fundamentals of business in subject areas such as organization and management, consumer behavior, sales and marketing, and business ethics. Most importantly, you’ll apply what you’re learning to real-world projects both in and outside of the classroom.

Students in this program graduate with the skills for positions such as a digital marketer, social media coordinator or communications specialist within a large company – and can even start their own advertising agency.

Many students opt to continue their education with graduate studies. Through our optional bachelor’s to master’s program, you can earn your MBA seamlessly in five years.

This program includes courses such as marketing, graphic design, photography, public relations, social media, and market research. You also have the opportunity to expand your skills through electives such as search engine optimization, web design, and video production.

Marketing communications is vast, and we want to make sure that we provide you with the education to be knowledgeable and successful as you enter the field.

If you'd like to earn an advanced degree, we offer a five-year Mass Communications/MBA program that will prepare you for a career in public relations, advertising, social media and marketing.

“Husson’s Marketing program is different than any other marketing major I've seen. The fact that we get to work with real clients is better experience than the lectures in giant halls with 200 people that I've had before at another school.

“The program here is so personal. It's nice to have teachers who remember who you are. I feel like I could ask multiple people for a recommendation and they truly know me enough to give a personalized recommendation based on more than just grades.”
