Global Assessment Certificate Program

The Global Assessment Certificate Program (GAC) is the world’s most recognized university preparation program for students with English as a second language. It was developed by ACT in conjunction with universities and accrediting bodies around the world to prepare students for university study in English-speaking countries. Husson University is one of the GAC program’s Pathway Universities and is pleased to recognize the Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) Program as satisfying admission requirements for our university.

These requirements include:

Completion of the Global Assessment Certificate at Level III

  • Minimum grade point average of 2.60
  • Minimum Test of English as a Second Language(TOEFL) score of 75
    OR Minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0
    OR Minimum ACT Assessment English subscore of 21
  • Completion of Husson University International Student application and submission of all necessary documents

All GAC applicants to Husson University will be reviewed for merit based scholarships at the levels of $1,000, $2,500 and $5,000. Husson University will provide up to 39 credits to be applied to undergraduate programs in the equivalencies as outlined in the chart below.

To receive credit transfer, students must submit to Husson University official transcripts from ACT Education Solutions that identify the name of the Approved Teaching Center (ATC) and contain: student’s name, official GAC number, number grade, percentage score, weighted percentage average, and cumulative GPA. Transcripts must be signed and dated by the Academic Director and Principal of the ATC.
