Biography
Shelly Tennett holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maine, a Master’s degree in Literacy from the University of Maine, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New England. In 2007, after ten years as an elementary classroom teacher, she began teaching as an adjunct instructor for both Husson University and the University of Maine education departments. She joined the full time faculty at Husson University in 2013. Shelly has a great passion for teaching and learning and is thrilled to continue to share this with the students at Husson University. She brings a blend of real-world experience grounded in the theory of high quality pedagogy and is pleased to communicate this valuable knowledge with future educators. Shelly lives in Bangor with her husband and three young children.
