Biography

Lauren Fysh, OTD, MS, OTR/L earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology (2013) and Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (2014) from Husson University, and her Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Her doctoral research focused on the development of assessment measures for clinical reasoning in occupational therapy education, and she was awarded the Excellence in Scholarship Award from the University of St. Augustine in recognition of this work.

After spending a decade as a school-based occupational therapist specializing in pediatric practice, Dr. Fysh returned to Husson as faculty to share her passion for children and youth occupational therapy with the next generation of practitioners. Her teaching emphasizes experiential and active learning, with a strong focus on clinical reasoning development through community-engaged practice and service-based learning opportunities. Her courses integrate real-world applications to prepare students for dynamic and collaborative pediatric practice.
