Kevin Rice is experienced in the Public Safety, Investigations and Law Enforcement arenas, having served in various leadership positions in local and federal law enforcement as well as the private sector. Kevin  began his career as a police officer for Orlando Police Department and spent 23 years as a federal agent with the United States Secret Service, retiring as the Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Field Office, where he oversaw all Secret Service operations in the states of Arizona and New Mexico. During his time at the Secret Service, Kevin played a role in protecting 4 sitting presidents, 4 vice presidents, several cabinet secretaries and dozens of foreign leaders. During his time there he also conducted or supervised hundreds of major criminal investigations. Kevin is a firearms instructor, a polygraph examiner and a threat assessor.

Kevin retired from the Secret Service and was hired by the US Forest Service Law Enforcement and Investigations as Special Agent in Charge of the Intermountain Region, based in Ogden, UT. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy State University and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.

Kevin is currently the Associate Director of Safety and Security at Husson University and previously served as a Security Director for a large multinational corporation in North Carolina. In 2019, Kevin published a book entitled From Sheepdog to the C-Suite aimed at assisting cops and military vets successfully transition to the private sector. In 2020, Kevin published Leadership Forewarned, a book which provides business leaders and HR personnel with life hacks to make workplaces safer. His latest book, An Arresting Life is slated to be published in 2021.
