Biography

Dr. Jonel Archard is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Husson University and the Track Coordinator for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. She holds a DNP in Transformative Leadership from Rush University, a BSN and MSN in Nursing from Florida Gulf Coast University, a Post Master's from the University of Maine Fort Kent in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, and a Graduate Certificate in Substance Use Disorders from the University of Maine Augusta. She is also currently enrolled at Harvard Medical School, working on a Master of Clinical Service Operations degree. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in family, geriatric, and psychiatric mental health, and as an advanced nurse executive. Beyond her board certifications, she has additional specialty training as an advanced women's hormone specialist and integrative psychiatry professional.

She brings vast clinical experience to Husson University's graduate nursing program, with advanced practice expertise in Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Autoimmune Disease, Geriatrics, Women's Health, Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. In addition, she has a strong background in academic publishing through her years of experience as an editor-in-chief, editorial board member, and textbook contributor. Beyond writing, she has been a highly rated speaker and curriculum designer at annual conferences for advanced practice nursing.

Dr. Archard also brings her expertise in healthcare operations, strategy, and quality improvement to Husson as a seasoned healthcare consultant. Her leadership and passion for improving efficiency and workflows is driven by a commitment to promote accessible, high-quality, and personalized healthcare. She has helped both group and solo ambulatory medical practices optimize operations, while maintaining exceptional patient care. While her expertise is spread wide, her scholarly interests include women's health and hormones, the interplay between autoimmune conditions and mental health, the impact of addiction on family systems, and the value of integrative medicine. Dr. Archard is known for her relentless enthusiasm for education and is guided by the belief that nothing is impossible and anything can be achieved with enough determination.
