An Aroostook County native, Jennifer Flynn serves as the Northern Maine Campus Director and Director Canadian Public Community College Diploma to Degree Program. Jennifer is the primary administrator for the academic programs and offerings at the Northern Maine campus and develops and executes strategies to optimize student enrollment and retention, facilitates program offerings, and provides adjunct faculty development opportunities.

Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Relations, with a minor in Business Administration from the University of New England. In 2000, she received a Master of Education from the University of Maine.

Before joining Husson University, Jennifer, was the Communications Director for MSAD#1. She was the acting media/public relations agent for the District, editor of the District newspaper, webmaster, as well as the volunteer coordinator. Jennifer also was employed by Limestone School District for six years as their computer technology teacher. She developed and instructed the school’s computer curriculum for students ranging from grades five through twelve and updated the Limestone Community School website. She filled the role of Teacher Leader for the Maine Learning Technology Initiative, in which she assisted and trained the staff with technology integration. While there she created an Advanced Computer Technology course for upper level high school students. Students in this class worked with community organizations and businesses designing and updating the content and appearance of their online presence, and print media needs.

She is an active member of the Presque Isle Rotary Club. She was Chair of the Rotary golf tournament for three years. Because of Jennifer’s efforts the tournament has donated over $30,000 to local organizations including Junior Achievement of Aroostook, Quoggy Jo Ski Center, and the Nordic Heritage Center. Recently the Presque Isle Rotary has elected her to serve on the Board of Directors in the office of club secretary for 2014-16.

Jennifer has been on the organizing committee for the IBU Biathlon Youth/Junior World Championships 2014 as the Co-Chair of athlete and volunteer accreditation. This event brought over 430 biathletes, coaches, and support staff representing over 30 countries to Presque Isle for the biathlon competition February 28th through March 7th. She also served as the Ticketing Co-Chair for the 2011 IBU World Cup Biathlon.

In addition for the past ten years, Jennifer has been a member of the Presque Isle Country Club Board of Directors and has served as club secretary for nine of those ten years. She has organized and managed the club’s yearly fundraiser, the “Super Supper” for three years. Under Jennifer’s leadership over $35,000 has been raised for special club projects including a new green’s roller, new covers for the club’s rental carts, and improvements to the service building. Jennifer is on the Board of Director’s for the Aroostook Youth Basketball League and serves as their Vice President. She has been instrumental in developing an AYBL $500 scholarship awarded to boy and girl who have played in the league and have gone on to play varsity basketball in any of the 16 Aroostook County high schools.
