Moyer, Heidi, PT, DPT, GCS, CEEAA
Biography
Dr. Moyer received their B.S in Exercise Science in 2013 from Northern Arizona University and their Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Angelo State University in 2016. From there, they went on to complete advanced clinical training including Certified Exercise Expert in Aging Adults (CEEAA) in 2018, Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist in 2024, and two ABPTS Board-Level Clinical Specialties in Geriatric Physical Therapy (2019) and Neurologic Physical Therapy (2025). Dr. Moyer's area of expertise includes neurologic and geriatric physical therapy with special interests in stroke, Parkinson's Disease, balance and falls management, and health promotion/wellness. Currently, they serve as lead faculty for the Neuromuscular series (PT 510 and PT 610) as well as Geriatrics (PT 664) in the Husson University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. Previous clinical experience includes inpatient rehab, LTACH, acute care, emergency room, home health, and outpatient neuro. Their research agenda focuses on student learning outcomes within neurologic and geriatric curriculums as well as interventions related to balance/falls risk in older adult populations.
