Biography
I am originally from the St. John Valley (Northern Aroostook County). I am from St. Agatha, and my wife Louise is from Fort Kent. We have three children who have completed college and work outside the home. My wife Louise and I live in Hampden, ME.
I have been an Accounting Instructor at Husson University since 2018 and became the School of Accounting Program Coordinator in 2024. In addition to teaching at Husson University, I am a self-employed State Farm Insurance Agent in Hermon, ME. I have been with State Farm in various roles for 21+ years and have 7 years of public and private accounting experience. My 28+ years of work experience in public and private accounting, insurance, and financial services will enhance your classroom experience.
As a licensed CPA in Maine, I am committed to continuous education. I hold a Master’s Degree in Business from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Bryant University. In the insurance industry, I have obtained three designations through the American College: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Chartered Advisor in Senior Living (CASL). This dedication to learning ensures I am always up-to-date with the latest industry knowledge. I am also a 4-year Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
I am deeply involved in my community outside my professional and academic roles. I serve in various capacities at St Paul the Apostle Parish in Bangor, ME, a role that I find rewarding and humbling. I am a Diaconate Candidate in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland, and I assist in communion, reading, and serving at daily and weekend Mass as an extraordinary minister. This community involvement is a core part of who I am and greatly enriches my life. I am in the Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology program at St. Joseph’s College of Maine, with a scheduled completion date of July 2026.
