Biography

With over three decades of experience in law enforcement, global security management, and higher education, Christopher is honored to serve the Husson University community. His career is defined by a deep commitment to public safety, specialized investigative work, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of legal and security professionals. Christopher earned his M.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Husson University and holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of Southern Maine.

Christopher’s foundational expertise was built during a 25-year career with the Maine State Police. Throughout his extensive tenure, he served in several critical capacities, including serving as a member and eventual Commander of the Tactical Team, working as a Detective, Sergeant, and Commander within the Major Crimes Unit, and serving as a Field Troop Commander.

Following his service with the State Police, Christopher served as the Chief of Police in Ellsworth, Maine, before transitioning into higher education. He worked as a Company Officer at Maine Maritime Academy and later transitioned into campus safety at Husson University as the Associate Director of Safety and Security. In this role, he oversaw day-to-day security operations and served as a certified Title IX Investigator. His passion for the field eventually led him to the classroom, where he served as an Associate Professor in the School of Legal Studies for two and a half years.

Most recently, Christopher spent four years with the Jackson Lab Global Security Team. Initially joining as a Specialist and later earning a promotion to Security Manager, he served as a primary cybersecurity liaison with external partners while assisting physical security teams in protecting vital research and infrastructure.

Now returning to Husson, Christopher carries a profound understanding of the responsibility involved in keeping the campus safe. Whether it is for students, faculty, staff, or the public, his priority is maintaining a secure environment where the community can thrive. Christopher deeply values the support of the Husson community and is dedicated to upholding the high standards of safety the university deserves.
