Crowley, Adam, PhD
Biography
Professor Crowley is the Associate Director of Online and Distance Education. For nearly twenty years, he has guided major institutional initiatives at Husson to strengthen student success, faculty development, and online learning. He represents the university nationally through his leadership in academic innovation and AI literacy, serving as institutional lead for the Council of Independent Colleges’s AI Ready program. He is an active evaluator for the New England Commission of Higher Education and a certified Quality Matters peer reviewer.
Professor Crowley is the author of many academic works, including Video Games and Environmental Humanities: Playing to Save the World (2024), Representations of Poverty in Videogames (2022), and The Wealth of Virtual Nations: Videogame Currencies (2017). His research has been featured in both academic and popular press publications, and he serves as peer review for a number of American and European academic publishers.
