Husson’s Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling is an 18-credit post-master’s option designed to provide professional development opportunities for those with master’s degrees in counseling or a related field. Our program offers convenient course schedules and full- or part-time tracks options to give you the flexibility you need as a working professional.
This program offers enrichment and advanced skills for counselors, as well as a post-master’s pathway to fulfill the requirements of clinical counselor licensure or school counselor certification. It is self-designed, allowing you to develop a professionally relevant focus area of your own with the assistance of a faculty advisor. Together, you’ll create a program of study that will help you achieve your career goals.
Courses in the Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling curriculum are taught by faculty with direct clinical experience, who understand the latest counseling theories and evidence-based research. Courses will be infused with case studies and role-playing exercises. You’ll apply theory in a practicum and internship that fits your career goals.
