Pre-Med Track

Husson's Pre-Med track within the Health Sciences program provides a strong first step for students seeking a career providing direct patient care as a doctor of medicine, including osteopathic medicine. This rigorous, science-based course of study prepares students for entry into most graduate-level health professions programs or graduate study in the field of medicine.

Students in this track have their own Pre-Med advisor who helps them prepare for graduate school, ensuring that all requirements for the degree and admission to medical school are completed. Their courses are led by faculty with a broad range of expertise in human biology and healthcare fields. Students learn hands-on in well-equipped multidisciplinary laboratories and in small-sized classes to recieve individualized education. In addition, students have the opportunity to conduct faculty-directed research.

Courses within this program include anatomy and physiology, biostatistics, chemistry, epidemiology, pathophysiology and probability and statistics.

Research Scholars Program

Through the Husson Undergraduate Research Scholars (HURS) program, students can participate in research while completing their undergraduate degree. Beginning in their first year, students can engage in dedicated research courses, hands-on research projects and co-curricular activities to enhance an understanding of research.
