Crosscut, the Husson University literary magazine, is published by the Department of English each spring. Started in 1993 by English faculty, Crosscut is a collection of writing efforts from within the Husson community, including the work of fiction writers, poets, and visual artists.
Submissions of short fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction and visual arts are considered on a rolling basis by an editorial board comprised of full-time English faculty and students. Deadline for each current year issue is January 30. Notification of acceptance comes in late August and annual publication in the fall. Emerging writers are strongly encouraged to submit. Contributors receive two free copies.
Students may gain editing and publishing experience as editorial interns at Crosscut.
