Transfer Information Days

On Campus Events

Please consider joining us for one of our Transfer Information Days where you will have an opportunity to take a tour of campus, and have an individualized meeting with an admissions counselor to discuss the transfer process. 

Visitors must comply with the State of Maine CDC guidelines and have either tested negative within 72 hours of their visit or quarantined, OR be a resident of one of the exempt states of ME, MA, CT, RI, NH and VT. .

What is required for transfers?

  • Completed Application
  • Official copies of transcripts for all colleges attended (you may contact your previous college registrar’s office to obtain) 
  • Official high school final transcript (you may contact your high school guidance office to obtain - requirement can be waived with proof of completion of AS degree of higher)
  • Letter of Recommendation (From someone who can speak to your academic performance, preferably) 
  • Essay (topic of your choice)
  • $40 Application Fee

Yes! Husson accepts transfers into these programs for the fall semester of each year. Minimum grade requirements apply. Contact us for more information

Yes! Transfer scholarships (GPA, MC & PTK) are awarded automatically upon acceptance.

A minimum of 2.0 GPA is required for transfer into Husson University. Specific programs may require higher, contact us for more information.

Husson is proud to offer rolling admissions, year round. (Health programs preferred deadline is January 1)

Yes! Housing is guaranteed for transfer students

Once your Tuition Deposit is paid ($250), your new adviser will provide you with your first semester schedule.

Meet Steph Cadwell

Associate Director of Transfer Admissions

Steph is the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions at Husson University. She graduated from Herkimer County Community College before transferring to Mansfield University of Pennsylvania where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2005. Steph also went on to earn her Master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Steph realizes how hard it can be to navigate through the transfer admissions process and she is here to help make this process as smooth as possible.

Scholarship Opportunities

Transfer Academic Scholarship

Students can earn up to $3,000 per year based off their cumulative GPA at the time of transfer. Award can be combined with Maine Community College Award and Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship.

Maine Community College Award

Students who enter Husson University who immediately matriculate with an Associate’s Degree from a Maine Community College receive a $2,000 per year award.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa who enter Husson University immediately following the completion of their Associates Degree will receive a $1,500 award.
