Previously Enrolled Students

Before separating from Husson University, it is expected that your student account be paid in full.

Individuals no longer enrolled at the University with an outstanding account balance over 30 days past due are subject to collection processes. Once the collection process begins, students are notified by letter that they have an outstanding balance with the University and are expected to pay within 15 days.

A hold placed on the student’s account to prevent registration will be placed until the balance is paid in full. There are no exceptions to releasing holds with students who have an outstanding balance with the University.  While Public Law Chapter 538 allows for students to obtain transcripts and/or diplomas that owe balances to a University, those students owing in excess of $2,500 will be required to establish a payment plan with the University prior to the release of these documents. 

The University does not accept settlement offers on debts owed.

Monthly payment plans are available to previously enrolled with outstanding balances prior to being placed with collections if the student seeks this option. Failure to comply with the arranged payment plan with result in the student being immediately placed with an outside collection agency.

Plans are based on the amount that is owed to the University (see below).

Husson University strongly recommends that you consider securing a past-due balance loan prior to establishing a payment plan on a previously enrolled balance.
