General Admissions and Requirements

How do I apply?
You can apply online through Husson University’s application or through Common App. Once submitted, you’ll receive access to your applicant checklist.

What are the admission requirements?
Requirements vary by program but always include a completed application, essay, one letter of recommendation, and official transcripts.

What is the application deadline?
Husson University offers rolling admission. The priority application date for students seeking to enroll in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Nursing is January 1.

Is there an application fee or fee waiver available?
Yes, there is a $40 application fee. However, application fee waivers are available for students who attend a campus visit.

Are SAT or ACT scores required?
Standardized test scores are optional. You may submit scores if you believe they strengthen your application.

Can I change my major after applying?
In many cases, yes. You should contact the Admissions Office or your admissions counselor.

Transfer Students

How do I apply as a transfer student to Husson University?
You should submit a Husson application or a Common App for Transfer, along with official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities.

How are transfer credits evaluated?
Transfer credits are evaluated after admission on a course-by-course basis and must be earned at an accredited institution. You can see how your current credits transfer to Husson University through a free transfer credit evaluation.

International Students

How do international students apply?
You can apply through using the Common App or through Husson's online application and must submit additional documentation. You can visit Husson's international student admissions webpage for more informaiton on application requirements and deadlines.

Is English proficiency required?
Yes. International students may need to submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores unless they qualify for a waiver.

What visa documents are required?
After admission, eligible students will receive instructions for submitting documents needed to obtain an I-20.

Family, Tuition and Financial Aid

How can I support my student through the application process?
You can encourage your student to apply early, submit required documents on time, and communicate directly with their admissions counselor.

How much does it cost to attend Husson University?
Families can view current tuition, fees, and estimated expenses on Husson’s Tuition and Costs webpage or contact the Office of Financial Aid.

What financial aid options are available for my student?
Students may qualify for scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study. Completing the FAFSA is the first step in determining eligibility. You can visit Husson's Office of Financial Aid homepage for more information on the specific types of aid that are available to your student.

When should my student apply for financial aid?
Students should complete the FAFSA as soon as it becomes available to maximize financial aid opportunities. The priority deadline for Financial Aid is January 1.

Is on-campus housing required for first-year students?
All full-time, first- and second-year Husson University undergraduate students must live in the campus residence halls. Our residential policies homepage contains comprehensive information on policies and requirements regarding on- and off-campus housing. 

Can first-year students bring a car to campus?

Yes, all students are able to bring a car to campus and can park for FREE once they register with our Eagle Safe App.

What academic support services are available?
Husson provides tutoring, advising, and student success resources to support academic achievement through the Center for Student Success.

How does Husson help students transition to college life?

Students' first semester will include a weekly Husson Experience Course to bolster their confidence, make connections and familiarize them with campus.
