Account and Technology Information

For answers to questions about your Husson University accounts, you can contact the Information Technology Department by dialing (207) 973-1000, or emailing us at (please note that we can't honor password reset requests via email).
Please note that, by signing into your Husson University Gmail or network accounts, you acknowledge that you have read and will adhere to the provisions of the Husson University policy on computer use. Before accessing any of these accounts, please review the Husson University Technology Standards and Policies documentation:



Incoming students should keep an eye on their personal email account for notification of their Husson University account information and initial login steps. Prior to logging into the network (on-campus) or Gmail (off-campus) you MUST change your temporary network password by going to and follow these steps.

Information Technology Hours of Operation

  • Summer/Winter Hours EST: Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Semester Hours EST: Monday - Friday: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • Call Center Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 p.m. - Midnight, Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Important Password Information:

Password management for the Husson Network account (including Math Placement, Canvas, MyHousing and Google accounts) will be handled by the site.  This site allows you to clear lockouts, manually reset or decide to change your own password at any time!

To manage your password use and once you've successfully change the password on this page, it will also change the password for the following accounts:

  • Network Account (Computer Labs, Library computers)
  • Gmail/Google Apps Account (
  • Canvas Account
  • MyHousing Application Account
  • Math Placement
  • Eagle Card

NOTE: CAMS accounts are a stand alone account and have to be reset manually.

If you chose to log into the labs for the first time the computer will automatically prompt you to reset your password. If you do not know your Network/Google ID or password, please contact the IT Help Desk at 207.973.1000 for assistance.

In logging in to the following portal, I hereby consent to do business electronically with Husson University. I also agree to accept all reasonable means of communicating electronically or otherwise. Additional Login Information

  • The network account allows you to log into the computer labs and library computers on campus or our satellite campus in Westbrook
  • Network account name is made up of your last name and studentUID (ID card number excluding the preceding zeroes) Example ID: Jones54321
  • Passwords are established via the site
  • Any issues accessing this site can be directed to the Information Technology Office for assistance

  • Canvas by Instructure is Husson's Learning Management System for all classes, another way to think of it is an online interactive classroom. First time logging in to Canvas? Watch this video for more information.
  • Please Note: Access to this system is only available when a student is registered for Husson University Courses

Canvas supports the current and first previous major releases of the following browsers:

  • Chrome 75 and 76
  • Firefox 67 and 68 (Extended Releases are not supported*)
  • Edge 44 (Windows only)
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser (supporting the latest system requirements)
  • Safari 11 and 12 (Macintosh only)

You should always use the most current version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if there is a new version available.

Unsupported Browser Banner

Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating: Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas. If you have upgraded your browser but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and deleting your browser cookies.

  • Your Google Apps Account includes email (GMail), Drive, calendar, and other helpful applications. It is critical that you access your Google Apps Account and read your email regularly. All notifications regarding every aspect of your enrollment, all communications between you and faculty, admissions, student accounts, university security, and the IT Department, will be sent to you through this official university email, not any other personal email account you may have.

  • Account Credentials
    • Email will be last name first initial with the extension of
    • Example: Password will be the same as network account

  • CAMS is the student database. This account is referred to as the Student Portal and allows you access to check your admission status, see your grades, your schedule, pay your bill (international students cannot pay their bills this way), register for classes, and access other important information about your records.
  • PLEASE NOTE: This password is NOT linked to the Network Account
