Account and Technology Information

For questions about your Husson University accounts, please contact the Information Technology Department by dialing (207)973-1000 and Toll-Free at (866)416-7488, or emailing us at (please note: for security reasons, password reset assistance is best addressed over the phone) 

By signing into your Husson University Gmail or network accounts, you acknowledge that you have read and will adhere to the provisions of the Husson University policy on computer use. Before accessing any of these accounts, please review the Husson University Technology Standards and Policies documentation:



Incoming students should keep an eye on their personal email account for notification of their Husson University account information and initial login steps. Before logging into the HU network (on-campus) or HU Gmail (off-campus), you MUST create a network password by going to and following the instructions in your welcome email.

Important Password Information:

Password management for the Husson Network account (including HU Gmail, Canvas, Wifi, network computers, math placement, MyHousing, and EagleCard accounts) will be handled by the site.  This site allows you to clear lockouts, manually reset or decide to change your own password at any time!

Once you've successfully unlocked or changed the password on this page, it will be your network password and be used for all of the following accounts:

  • Network Account (Computer Labs, Library Computers)
  • Gmail/Google Apps Account (
  • Canvas Account
  • HU Wifi
  • MyHousing Application Account
  • Math Placement
  • EagleCard
  • EagleConnect 

NOTE: The CAMS account is a stand-alone account and has to be reset manually.

Consent to do Business Electronically

In logging in to the following portal, I hereby consent to do business electronically with Husson University. I also agree to accept all reasonable means of communicating electronically or otherwise. These affirmations may be withdrawn only in writing provided to the Office of Financial Aid [or Student Accounts.] A copy of the full policy relating to the Consent to do Business Electronically can be found at the following link.

Additional Login Information

  • The network account allows you to log into the computer labs and library computers on campus
  • The network account username is made up of your last name and studentUID (ID card number excluding the preceding zeroes) Example ID: Jones54321
  • Passwords are established & managed via 
  • Any questions while managing or accessing this account can be directed to the Information Technology Office for assistance

  • Canvas by Instructure is Husson's Learning Management System for all classes, another way to think of it is an online interactive classroom. First time logging in to Canvas? Watch this video for more information.
  • Please Note: Access to this system is only available when a student is registered for Husson University Courses

You should always use the most current version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if there is a new version available.

Unsupported Browser Banner

Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating: Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas. If you have upgraded your browser but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and deleting your browser cookies.

  • MyHousing Software is an online student housing and dining services management system.
    • Please Note: This account is only applicable to students that anticipate living in Husson University housing for the upcoming academic term.

      • The Network Account username and password will be the same as the network account

  • Your Google Apps Account includes email (GMail), Drive, calendar, and other helpful applications.
  • It is critical that you access your Google Apps Account and read your email regularly. All notifications regarding many aspects of your enrollment, all communications between you and faculty, admissions, student accounts, university security, and the IT Department, will be sent to you through this official university email.

  • PLEASE NOTE: This password is NOT linked to the Network Account
  • CAMS is the student records database.
  • This account is referred to as the Student Portal and allows you access to check your admission status, see your grades, course enrollments, course schedule, pay your bill (international students cannot pay their bills this way), register for classes, and access other important information about your records.
  • CAMS Site:

    • Password is set independently of Network account and can be reset with the "Forgot Password" link on the website
