CPT Cameron Arndt
CPT Cameron R. Arndt was born on 27 Jan 1987 Park Ridge, Illinois, he was the first born of Matthew and Suzanne Arndt. He was raised in Madison, Wisconsin; oldest of four brothers CPT Arndt attended Ripon College where he earned a Bachelors in Politics and Government. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Infantry attending Infantry Officers Basic Course, his first duty station was Fort Hood where took over as the Platoon Leader of 2nd Platoon Bravo Company, 1st of the 5th Cavalry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry division. He prepared his platoon for combat and was then made the company executive officer where he deployed to Iraq in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. Upon returning he was selected among his peers to be the 2nd Brigade Headquarters and Headquarters Company Executive Officer. He then attended the Signal Captains Career Course and was then stationed at Fort Gordon and assigned to the 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 35th Signal Brigade. He was assigned as the Assistant S3 before taking Command of Bravo Company on 15 May 2014.
His military education includes the Infantry Officers Basic Course, Mechanized Leaders Course, Airborne School, Unit Movement Officer School, Air Assault School. Signal Captains Career Course, DISCA Phase II course. His Awards include, The Army Service Ribbon, The Global War on Terror Service Ribbon, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Ribbon, The Iraq Campaign Medal with one campaign Star, National Defense Service Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Achievement Award with two bronze oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal, and Bronze Star Medal.
