Husson By The Numbers

The Office of Institutional Research has created a series of interactive graphic reports that provide factual information about the university.

The first set of reports present demographic information about students. As the site develops, the information provided will be expanded to include facts related to student retention rates, graduation rates, degrees awarded, and faculty demographics.

Enrollment

These data were extracted on the University’s official census date which falls every year on the last Friday of September. To access the interactive features of the reports, double-click on the double-headed arrows in their bottom right-hand corners. This will expand the report window, and provide easy access to the categorical filters that allow for data discovery.

Student Enrollments
This graphic provides fall enrollment trends for degree-seeking and non-degree seeking students. The demographic categories allow for filtering the trend line by gender, race, age group, primary campus, degree or non-degree seeking, full or part time, entry status, enrollment status, and home state. Each category also provides a ‘select all’ option which will return it back to its original default position.

Degree-Seeking Student Enrollments

This graphic provides fall enrollment trends for degree-seeking students. The demographic categories allow for filtering the trend line by gender, race, age group, undergrad or graduate status, enrollment status, and students’ degree, college and school. Each category also provides a ‘select all’ option which will return it back to its original default position.

Student Origins

This interactive map shows the locations and numbers of students by their home cities and states.

Retention
This graph displays the retention rates for first year freshmen, transfer freshmen and entry graduate students.  The graph allows users to select their cohort(s), and drill their selection down by demographic characteristics.  The line in the graph shows the number of students in the selected cohort and the bars show the percentages of these students who were retained to their second, third and fourth falls.
