Account and Technology Information

For answers to questions about your Husson University accounts, you can contact the Information Resources Office by dialing (207) 973-1000, or emailing us at HelpDesk@Husson.edu (please note that we can’t honor password reset requests via email). If you are attending at one of our satellite campuses, you can also contact your site coordinator.

Please note that, by signing into your Husson University Gmail or network accounts, you acknowledge that you have read and will adhere to the provisions of the Husson University policy on computer use. Husson University, Information Resources Office (IRO) Hours of Operation:
Summer/Winter Hours EST: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
Semester Hours EST: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Call Center Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30 p.m. - Midnight, Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.,
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - Midnight
Hours are subject to change based on school /office closings

As a Husson/NESCom student there will be several accounts you will need to access to get the most benefit from your experience here.

NEW STUDENTS PLEASE NOTE:

Incoming students should keep an eye on their personal email account for notification of their Husson University account information and initial login steps. Prior to logging into the network (on-campus) or Gmail (off-campus) you MUST change your temporary network password by going to www.pwchange.husson.edu and follow these steps.


ADDITIONAL ACCOUNT INFORMATION:

Password management for the Network, Canvas, MyHousing and Google accounts will be handled by the pwchange.husson.edu site where you will now be able to manage your own password. This means you can clear lockouts, manually reset or decide to change your own password at any time.

Network accounts

  • The network account allows you to log into the computer labs and library computers on campus or our satellite campus in Portland
  • Network account name is made up of your last name and studentUID (ID card number excluding the preceding zeroes) Example ID: Jones54321
  • Passwords are established via the pwchange.husson.edu site
  • Any issues accessing this site can be directed to the Information Resources Office for assistance

Canvas

  • Canvas by Instructure is Husson's Learning Management System, another way to think of it is an online interactive classroom
  • Please Note: Access to this system is only available when a student is registered for Husson University Courses
  • Canvas Site: https://husson.instructure.com/login
  • Account Credentials
    • Account name and password will be the same as network account

MyHousing

  • MyHousing Software is the online student housing and dining services management system.
  • Please Note: This account is only applicable for students that anticipate living in Husson University housing for the upcoming academic term.

    • Account name and password will be the same as network account

Gmail/Google Apps Account

  • Your Google Apps Account includes email (GMail), Drive, calendar, and other helpful applications.  It is critical that you access your Google Apps Account and read your email regularly.  All notifications regarding every aspect of your enrollment, all communications between you and faculty, admissions, student accounts, university security, and Information Resources, will be sent to you through this official university email, not any other personal email account you may have.
  • Google Site: http://Google.husson.edu
  • You can also access this account by going to, http://www.google.com, your username is your full Husson Gmail address.
  • Account Credentials
    • Email will be last name first initial with the extension of @husson.edu
    • Example: smithj@husson.edu  Password will be the same as network account
  • Please Note: As of June 1, 2014 Google login name is name@HUSSON.EDU, Logging into any of the Husson Google sites with @my.husson.edu will no longer work

CAMS/Portal Account

  • CAMS is the student database. This account is referred to as the Student Portal and allows you access to check your admission status, see your grades, your schedule, pay your bill (international students cannot pay their bills this way), register for classes,  and access other important information about your records.
  • PLEASE NOTE: This password is NOT linked to the Network Account
  • CAMS Site: https://estudent.husson.edu/login.asp
  • Account Credentials
    • Account name will be same as the Network account
    • Password is set independently of Network account - to reset this password please contact The IRO

  • To manage your password use pwchange.husson.edu
  • When you successfully change the password on this page, it will also change the password for the following accounts
  • Network Account (Computer Labs, Library computers)
  • Gmail/Google Apps Account
  • Canvas Account
  • MyHousing Application Account

NOTE: CAMS accounts are a stand alone account and have to be reset manually.

  • If you chose to log into the labs for the first time the computer will automatically prompt you to reset your password. If you do not know your Network/Google ID or password, please contact the IRO Help Desk at (207) 973-1000 for assistance or via email at HelpDesk@husson.edu. Please be aware that we cannot send password information via email, so calling for password information is the most effective.
