Husson University, Information Resources Office (IRO) Hours of Operation:
Summer/Winter Hours EST: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Semester Hours EST: 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Monday - Friday

As a Husson/NESCom student there will be several accounts you will need to access to get the most benefit from your experience here.


Incoming students should keep an eye on their personal email account for notification of their Husson University account information and initial login steps. Prior to logging into the network (on-campus) or Gmail (off-campus) you MUST change your temporary network password by going to  and follow these steps:

Network Account: Tester999999
Old password: ####Test
New password: Enter a new password (abiding by the password requirements).

Confirm new password: Re-enter your new password.

Click button "Submit Password Change"*

Note: #### represents the last 4 #'s of your social security number. If you do not have a social security number on file at the University, please contact the IRO Help Desk at (207) 973-1000.


Network accounts

  • The network account allows you to log into the computer labs and library computers on campus or our satellite campuses in Portland.
  • Account Credentials – initial information for account and password will be provided in your new student account information email provided by Husson’s Information Resources Office – HelpDesk.
    • Network account name is made up of your last name and studentUID (ID card number excluding the preceding zeroes) Example: ID: Jones54321
    • Initial password information will be formatted as the last four numbers of your Social Security Number and the first four letters of your last name with the first letter capitalized. (Example: PW: ####Jone)
      • Students who do not have a Social Security Number in our database will need to contact the Helpdesk directly by phone (see contact information below) for initial password info.


  • Canvas by Instructure is Husson's Learning Management System for online and hybrid courses. Another way to think of it is an online interactive classroom.
  • Account Credentials
    • Account name and password will be the same as network account


  • MyHousing Software is the online student housing and dining services management system. This account is only applicable for students that anticipate living in Husson University housing for the upcoming academic term.
  • Account Credentials
    • Account name and password will be the same as network account

Gmail/Google Apps Account

  • Your Google Apps Account includes email (gmail), calendar, drive, and other helpful applications.  It is critical that you open your Google Apps Account and read your email regularly.  All notifications regarding every aspect of your enrollment, all communications between you and faculty, admissions, student accounts, university security, and Information Resources, will be sent to you through this official university email, not any other personal email account you may have.

    • Email will be last name first initial with the extension of

CAMS/Portal Account

  • The CAMS Student Portal Account. CAMS is the student data base. Your CAMS Student Portal Account(sometimes called the Student Portal) allows you to enter the student data base to check your admission status, see your grades, your classes, pay your bill (international students cannot pay their bills this way) and access other important information about your records.
  • Account Credentials
    • Account name will be same as the network account Password is set independently of network account
    • Password is set independently of network account

  • To manually change your password use
    • When you successfully change the password on this page, it will also change the password for the following accounts
      • Network Account (Computer Labs, Library computers)
      • Gmail/Google Apps Account
      • CANVAS Account
      • MyHousing Application Account

      NOTE: CAMS accounts are a stand alone account and have to be reset manually.

  • If you chose to log into the labs for the first time the computer will automatically prompt you to reset your password.
  • If you chose to log into your Google/Gmail account for the first time you are required to reset your password from the initial password to your own personal password. This is done by going to:

Our office hours: During the Semester 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM M-F & Breaks/Vacations 8-4:30 M-F.  Please be aware that we cannot send password information via email so calling for password information is the most effective.
