Husson University's College of Business Establishes Internship Investment Bank

Date of Release: November 28, 2011

Husson University's College of Business recently announced the establishment of a unique new program, the Internship Investment Bank.

"The Internship Investment Bank is a partnership between the Husson College of Business and the corporate and non-profit community," stated Dr. Ron Nykiel, Dean of the College. "The purpose of the Bank is to encourage work experience opportunities for students while providing educational benefits to employers."

For each new paid "intern", or student, placed in a corporation or non-profit organization, the employer receives a $500 credit deposited into an account in the entity's name. These deposit credits can then be used toward the cost of an MBA degree at the University for an employee of the entity. Nykiel states, "This is a win-win scenario for both the student, company or non-profit organization, and the College."

The Internship Investment Bank will be run by the School of Accounting within the College of Business, providing yet another work experience for our accounting students", stated Dewey Martin, Director of the School of Accounting at Husson.

Husson University's College of Business offers a general Executive MBA and MBA's within concentrations in Health Care Management, Hospitality Management, and Non-Profit Management. Many courses are available online.
