The Minerva catalog contains a description of each book, journal, and media item the library owns. Use Minerva to learn what items we have in our collection, and their location within the library. Minerva also integrates the library catalogs of other academic, public, and hospital libraries in Maine.
Each year the library adds approximately 1,200 new books to the collection. Each month we create lists of new titles arranged by type of new title: fiction, non-fiction, reference, Maine and federal documents, and vertical file. These new books are shelved on the New Books Shelves, located near the circulation desk.
Online books (or e-books) are books that are available to be read electronically on your computer. The library provides patrons access to several collections of full text online books. Search, view and access the online books at each collections' web site.
Husson University patrons have access to a growing collection of audiobooks. Use your library card to download titles to a personal computer, transfer them to portable device, or burn selected Audiobooks onto a CD for listening on the go. These audiobooks are available free through the Maine Infonet Download Library.
