The Admissions Office is pleased to announce the following merit scholarships available for undergraduate students entering in the Fall of 2015. There is no additional scholarship form required and recipients will be determined at the time of acceptance. Recipients must be enrolled full-time day students and maintain continuous enrollment to keep the scholarship. Except for the Academic Transfer Award, all scholarships are for first-year students only.  Applicants receive highest-level scholarship only.  Husson University is NCAA Division III and athletic awards are not available.

Scholarships with an Admissions Application Deadline of January 15, 2015 (applications must be complete to be considered)

President's Academic Scholarship

$16,000

Factors for consideration: A minimum SAT score of 1500 or 22 on the ACT, a minimum “A” average, and typically ranked at the top of their class. This scholarship is valued at $4,000 per year. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to keep this scholarship.

Provost's Leadership Scholarship

$8,000–$12,000

Factors for consideration: A minimum SAT score of 1500 or 22 on the ACT, a “B” average or better, are ranked near the top of their class, and activities that students are involved in that are non-athletic.** This scholarship is valued at $2,000–$3,000 per year. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep this scholarship.

Dean's Leadership Scholarship

$4,000–$6,000

Factors for consideration: A minimum SAT score of 1500 or 22 on the ACT, a “B” average or better, a history of strong academic performance and activities that students are involved in that are non-athletic.** This scholarship is valued at $1,000–$1,500 per year. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep this scholarship.

Future Educator Scholarship

$8,000

For students accepted in the Teacher Education programs at Husson. This scholarship is valued at $2,000 per year. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep this scholarship.

Pine Tree Scholarship

$8,000

This is an out-of-state recognition scholarship based on SAT scores, class rank, and GPA. This scholarship is valued at $2,000 per year and is awarded to first-year entering students only.

Legacy Scholarship

$4,000

Student must have had a parent, grandparent, or great grandparent, who graduated from Husson to receive this scholarship. This scholarship is valued at $1,000 per year. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep this scholarship. Click here for link to be reviewed for scholarship

President's Global Scholarship   

$4,000 - $20,000

International Scholarship with a minimum of $1,000-$5000 per year for up to four years of full time undergraduate study, based on merit. The student must provide proof of financial responsibility and be eligible for an I-20 student visa for consideration. A minimum of a 2.5 GPA and on- campus residency are required to maintain this scholarship.

Transfer Scholarship

$1,000 for a 2.5 GPA per year

$2,000 for a 3.0 GPA per year

Students must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or 3.0, respectively, to keep the scholarship. Current high school students who are in dual enrollment or bridge programs are not eligible for this scholarship.

Business CEO Scholarship

$2,000

For select business and criminal justice students. This scholarship is valued at $500 per year and is based on SAT scores, class rank, and GPA. Completed admissions applications must be received no later than April 1, 2014.

AHEAD Scholarship (Affirming Husson's Educational Access and Diversity)

$8,000

This scholarship is valued at $2,000 per year. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA to keep the scholarship. Eligible students must come from a multicultural background to be considered for this limited award. Completed admissions applications must be received no later than April 1, 2014.

Husson University also offers a number of additional restricted scholarships. There is no separate application required as the recipients are determined at the time of acceptance.
