Husson University offers a distance education option that dramatically reduces the amount of travel necessary to complete our M.S.N. degrees. This option is especially attractive to students who live a significant distance from Husson University. The distance education technique consists of interactive video and on-line learning. These courses are open to both matriculated and non-matriculated students.
Technology Requirements
A computer with an operating system of Windows 2000, XP or 2003
10 gigabyte hard drivebyte hard drive (with 128 megabyte RAM)
32 bit sound card
An internet connection minimum of 56K modem (High speed broadband will make file transfers and downloads much quicker)
Internet Explorer -- the latest version can be downloaded from the internet at http://www.microsoft.com
Microsoft Word, optional Microsoft PowerPoint or download a free PowerPoint reader which can be obtained at http://www.microsoft.com
Adobe Acrobat reader will allow you to read portable document files (PDF) and is a free download at http://www.adobe.com
A Husson Email account. All of your correspondence and course work will be directed to this account. You will also need it to be able to access the use of the computers while you are on campus in one of the labs.
A printer (laser or ink jet)
The ability to save and back-up information on your computer or on a removable disk, CD, or thumb drive
