Husson Institute of Continuing Health Education Programming to Offer Conference Focused on Clinical Supervision and Precepting

The Husson Institute of Continuing Health Education Programming (HICHEP) will hold a conference entitled, “Clinical Supervision and Precepting: A Positive Experience for All” on Friday, October 12, 2012. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Dyke Center for Family Business located on the Husson campus.

HICHEP invites pharmacists, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, clergy, and other clinical staff who supervise students or precept new staff to take advantage of the conference. The goal of the session is to enhance Maine health care providers’ supervision competencies by providing knowledge and tools to develop and improve their skills as supervisors and preceptors.

Speakers at the conference include: Deborah Drew, EdD, LCPC; Jeri Stevens, PhD, LCPC, CCS; Cheryl Adams, PT, DSc, MHS.; OCS, Karen Morren, PT, DPT, MS; John Yasenchak, EdD; Chrystal Adams, MSN, FNP-BC; Meg Smith, OTD, OTR/L, LMT, CLT; Mary Jude, FNP-C, PA, MSN, MPH; and Carl Toney, PA.

Tuition for the conference is $95 per participant, which includes materials, lunch, refreshment breaks, and a certificate of attendance. Organizations registering three or more participants receive a discount fee of $70 per participant. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
