Students attending a nursing class

RN-to-BSN

The Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing track at Husson University is designed to meet the needs of busy professional nurses. Our online options allow students to continue working as they complete the additional education needed for career advancement.

The RN-to-BSN track was created with students in mind.

  • Previously completed coursework counts at Husson. Students can transfer up to 39 nursing credits and 90 qualifying credits from other nursing programs.
  • Our programs focus on expanding your existing knowledge and expertise with new coursework. This includes content devoted to leadership and community/public health.
  • With our virtual classroom capabilities, you'll be able to attend class with fellow students and faculty from anywhere through the use of advanced technology.
The nursing program at Husson University is more than 100 years old and is accredited by the Commissions on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing. In addition, Husson University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Our ability to meet and exceed the rigorous standards set by these accreditors is a testament to the quality of our Nursing program.
The RN-BSN track has rolling admissions, so you can apply any time during the calendar year to begin completing your general education requirements in an online format. The nursing core curricula begins in teh fall of the academic year. The courses are sequential and offered in a blended format, with online class assignments and discussion, augmented by real-time virtual class meetings throughout the seven-week course.
