The purpose of this position is to service the walk -n students and family traffic to the busy Financial
Aid Office and to ensure that student service is maintained at a high level of excellence. This position
will facilitate communication and education regarding financial aid programs and processes, in a confidential manner, while supporting the administrative staff with daily operations by coordinating several key processes.
Duties and responsibilities:

Serve as walk-in financial aid counselor
•Entrance & Exit Loan Counseling
•Assist with student/parent phone inquiries regarding financial aid information
•Education on Payment Plan options
Coordination Federal Verification Process and document collection for selected students
Assist with DL (Direct Loan) reconciliation process
Supervision of student workers
•On line chat coordination
Financial Literacy and Education Outreach
•F.A. Web Site page maintenance
•Skip trace letter
•VA (Veteran Affairs) documentation
•Presentations & Open House support
Scholarship database maintenance
PowerFaids liaison with Information Resources Office
Member of financial and student budget appeal committee
Education and/or Experience : Bachelor’s Degree w/ a minimum of one (1) year experience in financial aid, or a comparable combination of experience from other professional positions. Master’s degree preferred, in either counseling or higher education.
